  • Improved memory efficiency when scanning and recovering large backups on mobile devices.
  • Added automatic size checks before recovery. Larger backups now show a warning, while files beyond the mobile safety limit are directed to the Windows or macOS version.
  • Simplified Recovery Phrase handling. YourKeep now uses the Recovery Phrase stored on the current device and clearly identifies backups that were protected with a different phrase.
  • Improved recovery messages and removed unnecessary or duplicate actions.

Split & Recover

  • Added Split, a free way to divide a file into redundant pieces without encryption or a Recovery Phrase. Even if some pieces are lost, the original file can still be recovered.
  • Recover can now automatically recognize encrypted Protect backups and unencrypted Split backups and use the appropriate recovery process.
  • Recovery Phrase setup is now only required when needed, so YourKeep can be opened and used without completing setup first.
  • Redesigned the Home screen around the three core actions: Protect, Split, and Recover.
  • Improved dark mode, recovery progress, and file previews.
